What Is Infrared Hot Yoga?

Infrared yoga is done under a heating system which uses far-infrared light rays to heat the body from the inside out. Doing yoga under the therapeutic far-Infrared heat triggers a healing cascade within the body, promoting cell regeneration, and providing a full-body detox that feels transformative. Other leading benefits are the formation of fibroblasts which produce collagen and elastin, leading to skin rejuvenation. The Infrared heat provides deep pain relief, greater joint mobility, increased circulation, and creates a thermogenic reaction which burns calories, leading to improved weight-loss. Far Infrared heat is gentle, and feels not unlike working out under the light of the sun. It’s hot yoga, without the exhaustion, and feeling depleted. One session under the F.I.R will have you feeling invigorated and ready to take on the world!

What To Expect: Your First Time

Infrared heat is gentle. The class starts off slow and the heat is barely noticeable, building to a slow crescendo. After a few vinyasa’s your body has begun to heat from the inside-out, penetrating deep into the muscles tissue, allowing you to sink deeper into postures with increased flexibility and greater confidence.

Expect some sweat! So bring a towel and a bottle of water. The detox is purely divine.

The air around you is easy to breath, in fact you will have increased oxygen levels. Your body will begin to love the healing effect of the heat, eliminating toxins, impurities, heavy metals and pollutants, strengthening your immune system, reducing stress, and burning hundreds of calories.

Top 5 Benefits of Infrared Heat for Yoga

Increased Flexibility

Infrared heat directly warms muscles, allowing for a greater range of motion.

Helps yoga students open up, melt deep into poses and gain confidence in their practice.

Pain Relief

Infrared heat directly penetrates tissues, muscles and joints, allowing them to heal and regenerate through a combination of the aforementioned increased circulation, oxygenation and detoxification.

Infrared radiation is incredibly useful for pain relief for minor injuries and chronic ailments.

Detoxifying Sweat

Infrared heat will make you sweat, which is a good thing because it is your body’s natural way of flushing toxins. As your body absorbs infrared heat, water molecules begin to vibrate, which causes them to wring out impurities from the cells.

These impurities will be released from your body as you sweat, creating a deep, detoxifying cleanse on the cellular level.

Weight Loss

The human body has an impressive temperature regulation system which takes energy (calories) to maintain a consistent temperature.

Infrared heat also increases metabolism between the blood and tissue, which also burns calories.

Increase Circulation

Infrared heat has shown to stimulate blood flow.

It can help lower blood pressure, help oxygenate organs, and rid the body of toxins.
